From Cazador Inc. and Bell Fibe TV 1, Bricklin is a three-part documentary series produced by Sandy Hunter and directed by Clem McIntosh, that uncovers the remarkable true story behind one of Canada’s most ambitious and eccentric automotive ventures.

Set against the backdrop of 1970s ambition and excess, Bricklin chronicles the unlikely alliance between American entrepreneur Malcolm Bricklin and flamboyant New Brunswick Premier Richard “Disco Dick” Hatfield. Together, they set out to build the world’s safest sports car, the SV1, right in the heart of Atlantic Canada.

Featuring archival footage, interviews, and compelling storytelling, the series explores a bold experiment driven by innovation, politics, and risk. From sky-high promises to its dramatic collapse, Bricklin captures the spirit and struggle of two visionary characters who tried to put New Brunswick on the global automotive map.
